John W. Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls, Philadelphia

Since 1990, Colgan Foundation has sponsored a number of Colgan Scholars at Hallahan every year. Mary Colgan, the matriarch of the Colgan family, attended Hallahan (Class of 1944), and always encouraged donating one’s time and energy to those in need. Hallahan develops the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional potential of each student within a diverse Catholic academic community. Through participation in Hallahan’s deeply rooted traditions, rigorous academics, and broad range of engaging activities and service, each young woman is encouraged to develop a vision for her future and is empowered with the faith and skills necessary to become a productive member of the global community. 

Though Hallahan will close its doors in 2021, Colgan Foundation will provide for its current scholars until graduation.
